To expound on one of my favorite topics, Reality and our Identity, one of my Pink Floyd favorite songs sprang to mind recently. It is but one of many songs who's lyrics reveal so much truth, it is scary. One wonders how such inspiration manifests, even though I have written songs and lyrics myself, meaningful lyrics don't materialise easily at all. Reality means different things to different people. The song ?How I Wish You Were Here? by Pink Floyd asks some critical questions relating to identifying different forms of objective reality, and it highlights some of how we have messed with life and nature in our crazy life that we live. So then, what is real life and what is important to protect and cherish???How I Wish You Were Here ? Pink Floyd (from the album Wish You Were Here. 1978) ?
So, so you think you can tellHeaven from Hell, ?Blue Skies from pain. ?Can you tell a green fieldFrom a cold steel rail, ?A smile from a veil; ?So you think you can tell. ?Did they get you to trade ?Your heroes for ghosts, ?Hot Ashes for trees, ?Hot air for a cool breeze, ?Cold comfort for change; ?Did you exchange? ?A walk on part in the war ?For a lead role in a cage ?
How I wish, how I wish you were here, ?We're just two lost souls?swimming in a fish bowl ?Year after year.Running over the same old ground, ?What have we found, the same old fears; ?Wish you were here... ?This is good food for thought. As to who the ?you? is that is referred to in the lyrics I am not sure. It could be a friend, God, the Holy Spirit, or who knows? These lyrics have led me to wondering whether that which we cannot see or sense using our five given senses is not the actual reality. And that which we can sense is possibly a type of illusion. If all is only energy, and actual reality presides in the Zero Point Energy Field (ZPEF), i.e. that field which exists beyond our natural sensory field, then we have missed it completely. A sobering thought indeed.Zero Point Energy Field is explained in my article; ONE Creation within the Zero Point Energy Field here on Gather.?
